How the platform works

Three layers cover the path from raw historian data to a maintenance work order — without replacing the SCADA systems, historians, or CMMS your OT team already runs.

1. Ingest

Connect OSIsoft PI via PI Web API, AVEVA Wonderware Historian via REST, GE Proficy via connector, or Ignition via OPC UA. Direct PLC access via Modbus TCP, EtherNet/IP, or Profinet where no historian exists. Time-series data normalises automatically.

3. Act

When an anomaly clears the configured threshold, Relynk routes the alert to the right person — Slack, email, SMS, or mobile push — and creates a structured work order in SAP PM, IBM Maximo, or Fiix with the sensor context pre-filled. No manual input required.

Historian & PLC Ingestion

Native connectors for OSIsoft PI (PI Web API + AF SDK), AVEVA Wonderware Historian, GE Proficy, and Ignition pull tag history and live feeds. Direct PLC connectivity via Modbus TCP, OPC UA, EtherNet/IP, and Profinet for assets without a central historian. Sub-second polling, automatic time-series normalisation, backfill for intermittent network segments. Every tag carries a timestamp, quality flag, and source audit trail.

90-Day Baseline Anomaly Detection

Relynk builds a rolling 90-day statistical baseline per sensor tag using historian data. A sliding-window comparison runs continuously against live readings for vibration, temperature, pressure, and flow signals. Seasonal patterns, shift schedules, and planned downtime are accounted for. Target lead time before fault threshold: 4–72 hours. Anomalies are grouped by asset and ranked by severity.

SCADA Historian Connectors

Dedicated connectors for OSIsoft PI (via PI Web API and AF SDK), AVEVA Wonderware Historian, GE Proficy, and Ignition. Relynk reads tag history and live values — never writes back. OPC UA sessions use certificate-based authentication and TLS encryption end-to-end. No modification to your control architecture.

Predictive Maintenance Workflows

Relynk tracks degradation trends in vibration, temperature, pressure, and flow signals against the 90-day baseline. When drift clears a configurable threshold — typically 4–72 hours before the expected fault — Relynk creates a planned maintenance work order in SAP PM, IBM Maximo, or Fiix with the sensor history attached. Corrective action is scheduled before the unplanned stop, not after.

Alert Routing

Configurable alert trees route notifications based on asset type, shift schedule, severity tier, and escalation rules. Send to Slack channels, Microsoft Teams, email, SMS, or mobile push. Alerts deduplicate and group related anomalies so on-call operators don’t face alert storms during fault cascades.

Operations Dashboards

Live and historical views for every asset, line, and site — in a browser or the Relynk mobile app. Trend overlays show the 90-day baseline alongside live readings so operators see the context, not just the alert. Role-based views for operations, maintenance, and management. Works without opening the SCADA HMI.

Siemens

Siemens WinCC (SCADA and TIA Portal), SIMATIC S7 PLCs via OPC UA, and Siemens S7 via direct Profinet connection. Supports on-premise WinCC deployments. No MindSphere account required.

Rockwell Automation

GE Proficy Historian connector for tag history and live data. Allen-Bradley ControlLogix and CompactLogix PLCs via EtherNet/IP or OPC UA gateway. FactoryTalk View historian also supported.

ABB

ABB System 800xA DCS via OPC UA. Motor and drive telemetry via Modbus TCP. Covers ABB process controllers common in paper milling and chemical processing environments.

Ignition SCADA

Inductive Automation Ignition via its built-in OPC UA server. Relynk reads tag history, live values, and alarm records without any Ignition module modification or SQL Bridge licence required.

OSIsoft PI

OSIsoft PI (now AVEVA PI) via PI Web API and AF SDK. Relynk imports PI tag configurations and historical data for 90-day baseline building, then subscribes to live PI data feeds for continuous anomaly scoring. AVEVA Wonderware Historian also supported via separate REST connector.
